^_^ wey! hehe. Excited ako ~
Ano kaya ang magandang tugtugin?
^_^
It’s weird that i play the guitar, but don’t know how to tune it properly. But I am able, at least, to know if its out of tune.
I cleaned my guitar a couple of weeks ago, with Wipe Out, and loosen the strings a bit to get the dirt off the fret board. I thought I could get the strings back in original tune, but hey, i didn’t. ^_^ heehee.
I used to ask my Khuya to fine tune it for me, but he’s busy with his family then. Else, i use Kirby’s gadget to tune it before gig, but we don’t meet that much anymore.
Ho hum… what am i supposed to do? Luckily, I have Guitar Pro installed on PC and I hooked the Guitar to the mic input. The software had a Digital Tuner, then I began plucking strings here and there until the indicator would level at the middle green led. It looks promising, though problem was, my acoustics’ pickup was a bit rusted already. It’s not picking up enough signals for the Digital Tuner. I kept on missing it.
Good thing there was another way. You can set the software continuously play a tone, then adjust the strings as how you hear it. Well that is how you normally, should tune your strings anyway, by comparing them. Hehe ^_^ Well, it sounded ok when i strummed it, so hopefully it will stay that way.
I somehow learned a lesson today. Go for simple solutions first before you jump into complicated procedures. ^_^
I received a text from Kirby this morning. May article daw sa Inquirer tungkol sa band namin. Then I completely forgot about it continued with my house chores. I just remembered when I faced my PC. I quickly placed in a message to our Guitarist.
“Uy, tungkol saan yung sa Inquirer?” I asked. Then I found out we got “featured” in Inquirer’s Sunday Magazine, last ahmm.. well.. Sunday. Hehe. The article is Turning Japanese: when Pinoy otakus attack! Sosyal~!. It is generally about the whole Anime - JMusic - Japanese Invation thingee. Here’s an excerpt of the article :
“…The local music scene has also seen an influx of bands influenced by Japanese pop music and anime soundtracks. Many do covers of popular anime songs, in Japanese. The name of one such band says it all: Tokyo’t Baboy. So Hapon and yet so Pinoy…”
Hopefully mabasa rin nila yung article na yun and decide to give the band another chance.
Here’s Kirby’s Post about it and the scanned magazine ~ ^_^
Wahahhaha!
Name seven songs that you are currently listen to and then tag seven people. Kathy tagged me.
I made a few modification, instead of songs i currently listen to, i made a list for my fave and memorable songs.
may pinagkaiba kaya yun? Hmm.. Game!
I’m doing the Bass too at that time, kaya sobrang kabado ako nun!
2. Utada Hikaru’s Boku wa Kuma - Translates to “I am a Bear”. Teehee! Super cute yung video nito! ^_^ watch it!

J-Crunch Ripiito! held last April 14 @ Amphitheater, Makati Park & Garden. Lots of Bands showcased their talent thru the performance of Japanese Music. Lupet nung event! At kasali kami dun! wahahaha ~
Maganda yung location kasi open air, presko.
May free chips from E-Aji at Sugoi Stuff (na di ko natikman), free NeoComics Fables\Epics na back issues, free Buy&Sell newspapers and specially free California Maki! Wee~ marami-raming freebies, ok na yun! May mga gigs before na kahit free food for the band wala. Kanya kanyang pakulo din.
Our band, Tokyo’t Baboy played around 8pm. In return sumayaw yung gitarista namin sa kanila, pambawi.
thanks Kirby!
Second song was Gackt’s Emu, si Vinz na yung kumanta. And also on our very first compo song “Father’s Day”! Wey! First time din namin na iperform yun. Kenkoy din kasi yung dating nung song “Who’s Your Daddy, Baby~ ”
With matching drum exhibition from Mon.

Imagine 26 hours nako gising nun~ My shift then ends around 9am, Then i went directly to Ayala MRT to meet up with the rest of the band at 10:30am via SLEX. Practiced in Alberto’s Cubao, around 2 pm, then went straight to Guadalupe for the event around 5pm. Wah~
I took naps inbetween nalang. ^_^ Hehe.
peace!

Finding Your Niche, Part 1
Fitting In with the Other Players in your Band
After all of the hours in your basement or bedroom practicing - now it’s finally time to surface into the real world and join a band. So you do - and then you realize that the people you are playing with each have their own individual personalities, skills, dreams, ambitions, work habits, personal hygiene habits, etc… How do you make things work? Once you come to an agreement of what kind of music you’re going to play and how serious you’re going to be about it (many bands never get past this point), you need figure out how you’re going to deal with each other in the long run. Maybe I’m weird (O.K. - I probably am), but it helps me to use metaphors, similes, and other various grammatical tools to help me to learn and remember ideas. Following that train of thought, here are three different ways to think about your band and how you relate to each other:
