Nangyari na ba sa iyo, nung minsang may na amoy ka, tapos bigla ka nalang may na alala? Minsan lugar, minsan pangyayari, o kaya isang tao.

Nagkakataon pala na nagpapalit ako ng perfume or cologne tuwing may bagong trabaho ako. Kaya tuwing naamoy ko yung mga dating pabango ko, para akong napupunta sa twilight-zone at instant flash-back ang nangyayari. Pag amoy-dagat naman, naalala ko yung school ko nung college, tabing dagat kasi yun eh. Kalimitan malansa kami after-class. hehe.

Madalas din akong mahilo sa pine-tree scent ng “pine-tree-shaped-air-freshener”, yung sinasabit sa kotse, malimit sa tabi ng side mirror. Long-trip kami lagi nina Mami nung kiddies pa kami. Kaya pag gutom, tapos mainit kahit naka-aircon, tapos idagadag pa yung pine tree, mapipilitan kang iluwa ang inalmusal mo. Kaya’t pag nakaka-amoy ako nung pine-tree-scent na yun, nag reready na ako ng plastic bag.

My shift starts at 4am.. I work at Alabang and I live in Cavite.. Imagine the hasseles I go thru everyday just to get to work on time..

Umaalis ako sa bahay ng 2:15am. Magaantay ng mga 10 minutes para makasakay ng Jeep pa-Zapote. Pagdating ko naman ng Zapote sasakay naman ako ng pa-Alabang. Bihira ang jip sa lugar namin, lalo na at madaling araw. Pag di ka umabot sa kararaan lang na jip, malamang 20 mins ka aamagin sa kalye, kaya minsan napipilitan narin akong sumakay sa tricycle.

Masarap mag-muni muni kapag umaga, di ko magawang mag exercise kasi sobrang lamig at baka magyelo ang pawis ko. Atsaka, madalas akong tinatanghali ng gising.. shhh.. quiet ka lang.. baka mainis yung naggigising sakin :D.. hehe. Mahaba ang binyabyahe ko para pumasok, at kapag tinanghali ako ng gising, parang tatamarin ka nang pumunta sa opisina dahil malamang trapik na. Madalas nakakasabay ko ang mga tindera sa palengke at namamalengke, mga pauwing secu at mga papasok palang. Madalas pag araw ng sweldo, mga lasing /nag party/ nag bar naman ang mga nakakasabay namin.

Been hopping blogs for awhile now, nakikibukas ng link, nakikisilip. Merong mga posts na nakaka-aliw basahin, madalas nga lang yung iba nakakalungkot. Merong english, taglish, tagalog, at meron ding gay lingo ang gamit sa mga journals nila. Maraming naguupdate, pero di maiwasang may mga inaalikabok narin sa tagal bago makapag post ng entry.

May diary ako nung gradeschool pa ako, requirement sa English. Tipong “Dear Diary, Carlo sat beside me today, he was soo cute…” hehe , bigla ko tuloy naalala yung commercial. Pero dati nga, halos itatago mo ito sa ilalim ng kama/mga damit/baul yung diary mo. It could contain your most precious secret. Yung mga tipong, pinagpalit mo yung dalawang sanggol sa ospital dahil trip mo lang. Kaya ka malimit sinukin ay dahil nagnanakaw ka ng itlog. O kaya naman yung crush na crush mo yung Algebra teacher mo kaya binabagsak mo yung subject nya para makita mo ulit sya next sem.

Mid 1998 I found a brightly colored Manga in a bookstore stall, I browsed thru the pages and found the art style way cool~ so i immediately bought a copy, out of my humble cash allowance ~ it’s was Culture Crash Comics.

They’ve produced 15 grand issues with 4 or 5 comic series in each comic. So, i really have to stretch out my budget in order to acquire one. But no regrets! ^_^ The Team started out with only 4 staff. James, Jio, Taga-Ilog and Memer (iq40). It started out a craze, got people reading comics again, and anime was in.

Then came 2004, they’ve stopped producing CCCOM. Said it was due to high economic instability.. so to speak. But what really puzzles me, is that the comics vanished after they had avertisers already..

Well, back at the image above, it is done by ~iq40 or Elmer Damaso, better known as Memer. The man behind Cat’s Trail. His line art is one of the best i’ve seen. Seeing him back at the deviantart page, i quickly registred, in order to post a comment. hehe.

Hopefully CCCOM will be back in business again. ^_^

Fitting In with the Other Players in your Band

After all of the hours in your basement or bedroom practicing - now it’s finally time to surface into the real world and join a band. So you do - and then you realize that the people you are playing with each have their own individual personalities, skills, dreams, ambitions, work habits, personal hygiene habits, etc… How do you make things work? Once you come to an agreement of what kind of music you’re going to play and how serious you’re going to be about it (many bands never get past this point), you need figure out how you’re going to deal with each other in the long run. Maybe I’m weird (O.K. - I probably am), but it helps me to use metaphors, similes, and other various grammatical tools to help me to learn and remember ideas. Following that train of thought, here are three different ways to think about your band and how you relate to each other:
